Day 1

Nicolette NED 7960 and François Morisset FRA 7944 dominate the fleet and swap places of 1 and 2 over the 2 races. Behind it is either the Merelles or Cedric and Marie Laure who complete the podium without showing the consistency of Jan Willen NED 1193 who scores twice in 4th place.

Day 2

the wind has dropped a little and is more westerly. The first start will finally be launched under black after 3 attempts and 2 BFD boats.

Quite quickly the wibaux and their fighter plane distinguished themselves at the head of the fleet. But another boat more difficult to recognize from a distance is even further ahead, and it will be a victory for the Swiss women crew who are quite unhappy with their boat till now  Hefti/Sommer.

The Merelles complete the podium on this round. Unlike the day before, nicolette and françois are struggling a little while Jan willem still scores a round of 4 with regularity and incredible downwind speed.

IMG 6053Between the 2 rounds, Maitre Coq winner of the last Vendée Globe will show his colors and his performances on the edge of the course.

Race 2: it starts at the first stroke under P in a wind which has picked up a little for the first lap of the race.

Once again a boat recognizable from afar thanks to the absence of a jib takes the lead.

Even if the wind drops during the end of the second windward leg and the last downwind, the "king coyote" Pierre Vidal will win this race with a bright smile through his thick beard. Jan Willem broke with regularity and stopped his series of 4 to take second place in this race and lead the general. The Dutch trained all week before the event with a coach on site and this is effective. This podium is completed by the Afidart presidential boat which also takes the opportunity to install its female crew in second place in this gold cup. With 3 boats standing at 1 point from places 2 to 5, it is clear that nothing is set in stone when it comes to the final result. Especially since the Merelles parents used to win on their water course could not run this race and got a DNC of 60 points which keeps them away from this group temporarily
